The idea for the Alaska Glacial Mud Company in particular was born in 2001 following an extraordinary journey down the Copper River on a raft by Alaska Glacial Mud founder, Lauren Padawer. This is where the river meets the sea and the wilderness offers the most auspicious and unexpected spa experience in the world, bathing in glacial pools amidst bear tracks and the call of wild eagles. Since that journey, and every time a local resident mentioned, "somebody should bottle this stuff," Lauren Padawer, the founder of Alaska Glacial Mud Co. realized she was the right woman in the right place at the right time.
